The following blog post about belief or submission for net zero is syndicated from Alex Story The Aussie Wire News’ UK Correspondent
We live into the epoch of Utopia. We have left reality firmly behind.
Seeking Utopia in this life, as the good book says, is to will “Hell on earth”.
Nothing demonstrates our descent into extremist folly more than Net Zero.
Few believe but many submit to this craze for fear of denunciation.
The concept is hazy, which is the basis of its all-encompassing power.
Most think it has something to do with “Saving the Planet”, requiring in the
process a great deal of personal sacrifice for Joe Blog.
Nothing can come in the way of its implementation in either speed or intent.
Even wishing to slow down the green revolution by a few years brings howls of
Sunak found out recently when he announced a more measured pace to Net
Zero implementation. Although the terminus was unchanged, and only the
vertiginous speed of execution was questioned, he became a “denier”.
The West is invested in its self-destruction and hoping to rebuild everything
anew to achieve abstract concepts, fully detached from mankind’s concerns.
The European Commission, that fully unelected – but self-evidently wise and
uncorruptible – body formally adopted the European Climate Law a couple of
This sets the target of a 55% cut in net Co2 emissions by 2030, compared to
Having left the European Union on paper, we find that in the UK “the net zero
target was made legally binding by the Climate Change Act 2008”.
Our parliament proudly boasts that “the United Kingdom was the first major
economy to pass a net zero emissions law.”
Not for the first time have our leaders bragged about shooting Britannia in the
foot in the hope that others might follow suit.
Surprisingly the madness, having, as is often the case, originated from Fabian
think-tanks on our Sceptred Isles, spread faster and more devastatingly than a
virus manufactured in a leaky Wuhan laboratory.
Indeed, the United Kingdom’s Co2 emissions have fallen by close to 60% since
1990 to 339 million metric tons – (and are we happier than then?)
Our country represents 1% of global emissions, 30 times less than China.
The EU is a little bit behind the curve.
In some EU countries, however, targets are being imposed by the cudgel.
Indeed, in Holland, the government is actively forcing its farmers into
The country was hitherto one of the world’s most productive food producers.
To reach arbitrary Co2 emissions targets, Holland is hellbent on destroying the
Dutch government proposals include the closure of 11 200 farms. Another
17,600 farmers will have to reduce their livestock significantly.
The Netherlands represents 0.46% of Co2 emissions globally.
Ireland, having accepted the EU’s shilling in 2011 after the country’s Euro
induced bankruptcy, and wishing to be seen as the submissive partner France
and Germany paid her to become, is pushing ahead with her own self-
The Irish government is planning a massacre of 200,000 beasts over the next
three years to reduce emissions by a quarter in seven year’s time.
The cost, for such as small country, at EUR600million is astounding.
The Irish taxpayer will pay to witness the destruction of his livelihood.
Ireland represents 0.1% of global emissions, a couple of rungs above notorious
polluters such as Trinidad & Tobago and Angola.
At the highest step of the Climate Cult, John Kerry stated during an expensive
shindig in Washington recently that “we can’t get to net zero, we don’t get this
job done, unless agriculture is front and center as part of the solution.”
Note that not one of his predictions have yet ever come true.
But agriculture, the cornerstone of our civilisation, is in his and the Global
Green lobby’s Maoist sights.
Our civilisation is being run by people, who visibly no longer care about their
culture or citizens.
Worse, they see their people as part of the problem.
People are too dumb, they say, too selfish and care too much about their own
lives to understand the pressing concerns of Mother Earth, that old Roman
deity, which in yesteryear fed off human sacrifice.
Having been forgotten for millennia, she made an astounding comeback of late
and is now centre stage.
As a result, the West is dismantling its food production capability,
The industry has developed over thousands of years to unbelievable levels of
productivity, at a time when the world population could conceivably grow by
another quarter to 10 billion by 2050.
Judging them by their deeds not their words, we see that that every decision
made by our governments are set to increase the cost of food, and therefore,
Worse, by producing less food, we will depend on imports.
First, the transport of food will offset whatever Co2 savings our efforts have
Secondly, we will rely on imports from countries that are not concerned about
We will in effect subcontract our “pollution” to poorer parts of the world, as
has in fact been the wont of our hypocritical elite over the decades, specifically
in manufacturing, textiles, and now agriculture.
And when good alternatives, such as palm oil, come into play, our Green
Lobbyist will set about using all their armoury to destroy them.
For instance, palm oil takes up just 0.4% of global agricultural land but
contributes over 56% of global edible oils and fats exports.
Ideal when budgets are strained.
Soybean, coconut, or sunflower oil require 4-and-10 times more land, which
threaten other habitats, species and communities.
Because of its high yield, palm oil is what a growing world population requires
as it is about 6 times more productive than the Soy that much of our Elite’s
savour in their skinny lattes.
This specific segment of the food industry, as the ones mentioned above, is
under constant fire.
Cheap food is the target of our eco-zealots because they are in fact
They hide their misanthropy behind the highfalutin pretexts of caring for the
In short, our governments do not have our best interest at heart and cannot
have it so long as they are wedded to Net Zero. Quite the opposite.
Indeed, most of our institutions – regional, national, and supranational – have
been conquered by theorists, who like Stalinists of old, put theoretical and
arbitrary targets above the lives of their own citizens.
That is not a good place to be.
